JARRED CHRISTMAS – Thursday 12 July 2018 (Apollo Hotel)

Jarred Christmas comes to Basingstoke Comedy Club

Whether performing sets, compering, acting, or improvising, comedian Jarred Christmas has a unique style that deftly mixes gags with storytelling. He has a dynamic onstage persona and the ability to improvise and roll with anything that’s thrown his way, making his comedy sizzle with originality.  With passion and charisma, he takes his audience on a hilarious ride of laughs and gasps, with an edge of anger that manifests itself in his incredible rants against the small things in our lives.

In his own words, he’s read loads of books, done loads of shit and always looks both ways before crossing the road.

“One of the funniest men to pick up a microphone”   Time Out

The best of the crop – a fabulously boisterous Kiwi”   Evening Standard

Likeable, intelligent and full of unpredictable energy”  The Scotsman

He’s joined by Andy Stedman – one of the fastest rising comedians on the UK circuit who gigs extensively around the country.  Lively,  likeable and versatile, his cheeky nature allows him to get away with a lot more than many acts are able to.

MC for the night is the fabulous Andrew Ryan – irreverent, cheeky, and outrageously funny  and a familiar face on our Laughter-House Comedy stage.

From 6.00pm until 7.15 the Apollo Hotel are offering HAPPY HOUR AND A QUARTER! That’s 50% off all drinks  – Hoorah!

and…  *fanfare*  There’s even a £10 Curry Club.  What do you get for that?

A choice of 3 curries  – served with Pilau Rice, Naan Bread and a small beer or glass of wine.  The Apollo are getting into the spirit of comedy with the following curries –

The mild one (Kenny Everett) ‘It’s all in the best possible taste.’
The hot one (Del Boy) ‘Lovely jubbly’
The hotter one (Catherine Tate) ‘How very dare you!’

There will always be a vegetarian option too.  If you’re a Curry Dodger (hard to resist a poppadom though, isn’t it?) just choose something from the main menu at usual prices.

Comedy Curry Club is usually fuller than a plumber’s tool bag, so it’s best to book.   Contact The Apollo on 01256 796700.
